My best decisions are the ones that I usually make when I am highly motivated and I believe it is the same for most people. We are usually able to make good decisions when we are highly motivated and have a clear sense of achievement. In this state of mind we seem to over look the obstacles and see our desired results which create excitement and help us make good decision. The problem is that this state only last a short while. When this state is past we are no longer attracted to our goals.
Decisions like running every day, or doing better on the next term paper, or waking up for fajar(morning prayer) are only exciting until there is motivation. Once the motivation is lost the sense of achievement is gone as well. At this point we start magnifying obstacles thus becoming focused on obstacles rather than the results that they are trying to achieve. In long term this makes us forget and even forfeit the decision that we made while we were in highly motivational state.
In cases like this a life coach can help you clarify what is it that you want and how important is it to you personally? What are different ways of achieving it and what sort of obstacles you are likely to face and how can you avoid them. Your life coach will help you achieve clarity about your goals and make them smart goals which are measurable and positive. Your life coach will also hold you accountable for taking action, because we often dream but with lack of ACTION our dreams usually never come true.
